Children's House of Lavender Hill

Capacity:

20 children aged 3-6 years old

Preschool's Vision:

Our vision for Children’s House of Lavender Hill is to create a safe, vibrant school that is the pride of the local community who seek to offer their children the best future possible. It is inclusive, welcoming, productive and peaceful. The school serves as a preschool, but also a hub of learning for teachers, parents and neighbours.

Principal's story: Mikayle Booysen

I am 26 years of age and have been working as a Childhood Development Practitioner in Lavender Hill for more than six years.

I enjoy being around children and making them feel safe and loved, putting their needs before mine.

My goal is to further my studies and complete a B.ED with a focus on the children’s psychology. I completed a Montessori course in 2018 and started my own centre in 2019 with the help of Learning in Reach, changing the way parents and preschools support the children in our community.

I would love to help change and make a difference in Lavender Hill for the next generation to thrive and live in peace.
