Tactile learning of 0-10.
Use the senses of a child to learn reading and arithmetic. Purchase a set for R350 and one set will be donated to an ECD in Lavender Hill.
The numerical symbols provide tactile stimulation and sensation in order for the learner to develop an impression of the number that is both visual and sensory, thereby ingraining the number more concretely into their memory.
By using the tips of the fingers to trace the shape of the number a ‘muscular memory’ is developed and reinforced. This will translate to success and confidence during later attempts to write numbers, as the hand and mind are both familiar with the movements required to form each numeral.
